1. Overview & Core Philosophy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Pomogochi Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). We believe user privacy should never be compromised for productivity or delightful desktop interactions.

Zero External Tracking: Pomogochi does not manage user accounts, run backend analytics servers, or transmit any user activity or browsing logs over the internet.

2. 100% Local Processing & Storage

All features provided by Pomogochi—including Pomodoro focus session timers, desktop buddy pet level/XP progression, room decor settings, custom sound preferences, and Two-Beat Thinking dashboard notes—are processed and stored 100% locally on your machine using Chrome's browser storage APIs (chrome.storage.local).

We do not maintain any central servers or external databases. Your data never leaves your device and is never uploaded, synced to third-party clouds, or monetized in any way.

3. Permissions & Their Purpose

The Extension requests specific Chrome browser permissions strictly necessary to execute its core user-facing features locally:

Allows your desktop buddy pet to appear as a gentle companion on active web pages and interact with your focus timer.

Displays your frequently visited sites and bookmarks on the Pomogochi custom New Tab page for quick navigation.

declarativeNetRequest Focus Blocker

Enables optional focus mode distraction blocking (AdBlock/Website blocker) during active Pomodoro work sessions.

alarms Timer & Buddy Reactions

Schedules accurate Pomodoro session sound alerts, rest reminders, and periodic pet mood updates.

geolocation Local Atmosphere

With user consent, provides real-time local weather and day/night ambient themes for your pet's environment.

4. Third-Party Sharing & Analytics

Because all data remains exclusively inside your browser's local storage, we do not sell, rent, trade, or share any personal information, browsing history, or user data with third parties under any circumstances.

Pomogochi contains no third-party tracking scripts, telemetry tools, or advertising SDKs.

5. User Control & Data Deletion

You maintain 100% control over your data at all times:

Reset Settings: You can clear timer histories, buddy progress, or reset extension options directly from the settings menu.
Complete Removal: Uninstalling the Pomogochi Chrome Extension will automatically and permanently purge all stored data from your browser's local storage.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature additions or Chrome Web Store requirement changes. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
