1. Introduction & Core Principle

This Privacy Policy applies to the Modo (mōdo) mobile application, developed and operated by Jun Workspace ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

Modo only requests standard operating system permissions that are strictly necessary for interactive features you explicitly trigger:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA / NSCameraUsageDescription): Used exclusively on-device when you scan ISBN barcodes, QR codes, receipts, and physical documents to attach them to your notes. Images are never uploaded to any remote server.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO / NSMicrophoneUsageDescription): Used only when you tap the voice note or instant speech transcription feature. Audio transcription is processed on-device or via official system speech services.
• Photo Library & Storage: Used solely to allow you to select and attach existing pictures or files to your notes.
• Device Calendar (android.permission.READ_CALENDAR / WRITE_CALENDAR): Used strictly on-device only when you explicitly opt to sync scheduled notes, milestones, or deadlines with your system calendar.
• Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used solely to dispatch scheduled reminders for your notes, tasks, and D-Day counter milestones.
• Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint / Face ID): Handled 100% on-device by your smartphone's hardware Secure Enclave to verify app lock. Biometric credentials are never stored or accessible by Modo.

3. Cloud Backup (Google Drive OAuth)

If you choose to use the optional Google Drive Cloud Backup feature:

• Backups are uploaded strictly and exclusively to your personal Google Drive account's private appDataFolder (an isolated application folder hidden from general Drive files).
• Jun Workspace does not operate intermediary servers, does not receive, and cannot access your Google authentication tokens, Drive files, or backup archives.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

Modo is a free application supported by non-intrusive advertisements. We integrate the official Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK):

• Google AdMob may collect standard non-identifying diagnostic information, device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID or IDFA), and general crash metrics to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and combat fraud.

5. Data Retention, Backup, and Deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you have complete control over its retention:

• Deleting a note inside Modo permanently erases it from your device database immediately.
• Uninstalling or clearing app storage erases all local data permanently.
