Privacy Policy for ClickBook

Last updated: May 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the ClickBook Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy outlines how we handle your data.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The Extension requests access to specific data strictly to provide its core functionalities (saving and organizing bookmarks). The data processed includes:

2. 100% Local Processing & No External Servers

All data processed by the Extension, including your bookmarks, folders, memos, and AI summaries, is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local).

We do not use any external servers. Your data is never transmitted to, collected by, or stored on any external servers, databases, or third-party services. The AI categorization and summarization features utilize Chrome's built-in local AI (Gemini Nano) directly on your device.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Because all data remains locally on your device, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data or browsing information with any third parties under any circumstances.

4. User Control

You have full control over your data. You can delete individual bookmarks, clear all data, or uninstall the Extension at any time. Uninstalling the Extension will permanently remove all associated local data stored by it.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
